Great job with your mock-ups. They are very visually appealing and also appear authoritative and historically-minded.
You mentioned in your presentation that you used a font from antique maps. How did you get that font into your computer? Did you download it from online or did you buy software with rare fonts? The font is really excellent and adds to the authentic feel of the site.

Thanks for the comment! I did some research on maps and there are a tons of cartography sites out there. I tried to take some of the wisdom from Professor Cohen, Jeremy and Willams and Tollett when thinking about what I wanted to page to look like.
In my mind I wanted the font to really “pop” and give you a sense of what the site is about. I found and downloaded the JSL ancient font for free (and the italics version too) and added it to my fonts folder on my computer.
